The live performance of "Dirty Second Hands" is unreal, the best live video of theirs in my opinion - at least I haven't seen a more enjoyable live video of the guys before (and I've seen many, "Ammunition" at HRL being my favourite until now.) The soloing at the end gives me such a blood rush. This video was previously unreleased on the internet, so I just put it up on YouTube for you guys. We'll soon have the video of "Oh! Gravity." up, from the same show. Also coming is the David Letterman performance, all in decent quality digital recordings. Enjoy these exclusives... Merry Christmas.
Oh, and, don't worry about ripping it to mp3, because I'll soon be uploading the mp3 track from the original mpg file.
I'll make it available for download eventually. As of now I want it to get played (and commented on) on youtube as much as possible so the band gets exposure.
phil, how did you get the clips? I have them both - CD USA and Letterman, but can't get them onto the computer. Somebody must've recorded right on their computer? hm.
I was doing a bit of The Little Engine That Could type of crossing my fingers, praying that jon would get to the end of the song with some voice left. Bless his heart. They did such a great job. And the audience was really good, too, on CD USA. I wonder if there were any fans cheering them on on Letterman.
"Dirty Second Hands" still isn't my favorite song, but this video does make me very excited to go see them in a couple months. Thanks for putting the video up!
this is, by the way, one of my top songs on the album. I bought it off itunes the minute it was available.. and then I sent it to Phil. Phil, you adore me for that. ;D
no heather, she sent me just the song, when it released, cuz iTunes didn't have it for canadian customers at that time. i got the video from this musicvideo request service. i put in a request to record the CD USA show. they always do it in good quality and decent compression. www.videopimp.org
its through them that i made the Hard Rock Live videos available to the switchfoot world, and now its all over the web ;P
stonewall10, yes i have their performance of oh gravity. i'll put these up for download eventually. just not yet. :)
and ya'll are welcome. always a pleasure to share the switchfoot goodness.
Oh, yeah, that's what I meant. My second comment was about how you got the DSH mp3, not the video. I remember you and the other non-U.S. people being really frustrated at not being able to get the songs, then all of a sudden you had it, but wouldn't tell how. :o) at least, that's the way I remember it. It's not a big deal, though.
oh ok, haha.. yeah i remember that. it was nice of her to send it to me. i might have killed myself if i had to wait, after hearing that marvel of a clip of the song on itunes. that song's clip made me crazier to hear the song than any other song clip could ever make me.
Oh, and it was cool, but I don't see how it was that wonderful.. I guess cuz I've seen them perform DSH live 3 times I'm a little spoiled. It was nothing new or different though, and Jon's voice was definetly going.
Sweet. He did the thing with the cymbal at when I saw them in Minneapolis. Except he hit the cymbal with Jerome's tambourine, and he didn't drop it. I hope Chad wasn't to mad about the cymbal.
why is this video not available?!
:'(
