Watch VIDEO: Switchfoot on Jay Leno w/ "Oh! Gravity."

The brass section = gooood idea. This performance should do the band some good. It was good to hear him introduce the album as "critically acclaimed". I know the quality of this video isn't the best, but a good quality version should be up soon. Darn, I just realized I used "good" in every sentence of this post. Not a sign of a good writer.

I can't even tell you how long I have wanted SF to have live brass and strings. Do you think they will tour with brass now our was it just a spur of the moment type of thing? I am really regretting not waking up to watch that last night. It was absolutely terrific!

    That was an amazing performance!
In my opinion I feel that this performance was a lot better than the one onr Jimmy Kimmel. Maybe because Oh!Gravity is a friendlier song...I dont know.

The chords that Jerome played were so cool! And he like plays a million instruments at the same time! Go Jerome!

I love how Tim and Jon were one in voice. Their voices were amazing and musically perfect.

    I loved the p-p-pull it together!:D

    The brass section! WOW! SWEET!

Phil, you are a good writer. :D

    thank you for that!

The funny thing is, after the first few listens of that song back when they released the single, I thought that some horns would make it better. If you stop to think about it, that song definitely has a sort of punk-ska vibe.

it's funny how in the video the camera gets three close-ups on tim in a row. as if they're trying to find the face behind the hair :P

    ^haha..

nah, I don't think they'll have the brass section on tour.. though that would be really cool if they did.

haha, i noticed all the close-ups on tim, too. and i was so thrilled with the brass. how cool! (also, with how pleased jon looked to have them there.) i love how jon wears lowercase people shirts on shows like this!

lastly, one of my favorite things is that they are big rock stars, singing on tv, and traveling the world - but in the end, they're still a couple of pastor's kids. it makes me really happy. :o)
