Happy Valentine's Day!

One of my favourite movies, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, begins with a voice-over that reads from a diary:

Random thoughts for Valentine's day, 2004: Today is a holiday invented by greeting card companies to make people feel like crap.

That's an observation I've loved enough to quote it to friends a few times in the past, but I hope you feel better than that about today, even if you're single. If you don't, this picture of a poster available on the current tour (or my update on the previous post) should cheer you up... it made Gellie go "Jonyth Paltrow!" :D (pic courtesy: Brittany)

gee, thanks for the creepy poster. and valentine's day is silly. but I only think so because nobody gave me chocolate. not that I'm bitter or anything... I just really like chocolate.

I didn't see the movie that they depict in the poster. It seems a little weird to me that they would mock up a movie. I haven't had time to poke around looking for the explanation of why they chose that for a poster so I'll stop there. :)

Eternal Sunshine is a masterpiece. I love the irony of that narration in relation to how much both characters wanted to be in love.

Sigh. Sorry, being a newlywed makes me incredibly and annoyingly sappy. :) Happy VD all!
