Jon look-alike?

MK made this...

...while I'm responsible for this bit of Jon-defacing:

Ah, the powers of MS Paint. :D That Kermit picture was taken from this blog post about Switchfoot which made my day. Funny stuff.

An entry at MereOrthodoxy.com that writes about Sufjan Stevens (another favourite of mine) and Switchfoot as examples of artists weilding faith in a relevant way, to impact pop culture, while also somewhat touching on the irony that I brought up in my interview question 2.

Here's a detailed Switchfoot poll that you might wanna vote on and see the results.

Daniel Lim's small group decided to remake the "We Are One Tonight" video, which must've been a lot of fun to do. (watch here)

Another blogger wearing his Switchfoot love on his sleeves.

Mark Oestreicher writes about a book called "Be the Change", authored by a precocious 15-year-old, that deserves attention more than just because it has Jon Foreman mentioned on the back cover.

    Did he just call Jon...emo?

    ...no, no, I must be mistaken.

    haha if "emo" weren't what its come to mean these days, i don't think it'd be that big of a mistake calling jon emo. he's definitely not emo by what people mean by the word these days, though. too bad emo no longer means emotive/passionate but has more to do with hair colour, dress sense and whiny music.

    I liked reading the cheesy comments on the Kermit blog. One person said, "3 posts in 5 minutes? Come on, you were meant to live for so much more." Haha, people are just so good at bringing out the cheesiness in Switchfoot songs. :P

    I like the one about Switchfoot and Sufjan, two of my favorites as well. They aren't two artists that I generally connect to one another, but he did so really well.

    The first blog you linked to was also pretty funny, although I'm not really sure I see the Kermit/Jon Foreman connection... ;) Good stuff, though.

    @Jill
    maybe you can see the similarity a bit now? :D I put them alongside each other and Jon's eyes were closed in that picture so I put Kermit's eyes on him hah

    @Gellie
    yeah, that kid makes me feel the same way.

    Hey Everyone!

    I am the author of the original kermit blog post. Just a point of clarification, the intended similarity between Jon Foreman and kermit was kermits voice. I got the inspiration after I was listening to Switchfoots first cd "The Legend of Chin" and heard the song "Underwater". Although oddly enough, Foreman does slightly resemble kermit, haha.

    Ah yes, I totally see the connection now. Spitting image of each other, I'd say. Thanks for making that clear, Phil. :)
