Watch VIDEO: 'Happy Is A Yuppie Word' (live on Daily Download)
After showing SF play "Stars" on Daily Download, for some reason (if I remember right) they didn't show this performance of HIAYW - it was probably shown only to a pay-per-view audience. No one mentioned this song on the message board thread about this TV appearance back then - while everyone was talking about "Stars", with a boardie even uploading a recording of it. So correct me if I'm wrong but pretty much no one's seen this yet. Either way, this is the only professionally-recorded live performance of this song that exists as of now.. brought to the web for the first time ever, right here, right now:
actually, I'm pretty sure that it isn't the only professionally recorded live version of this song. But, I guess that if you exclude studio performances it probably is. because I was only thinking of studio performances like stripped music and walmart soundcheck. meh, i'm tired. nevermind. :-)
Hey Phil. I actually have seen this somewhere before. And there has been a few formal live performances of this. I believe they played this on FuseTV before. Not sure. But I have seen others besides this one. =)
oh okay, my bad. cause i heard no one talk about it (they all talked about stars) when fusetv hosted these guys and there was a thread about it on the boards.
i've seen this video pop up at a couple places random on the net before, but never on a fansite or something that a considerable number of fans had access to - so i guess that's what i meant.
and jonathan, you're right. i didn't consider studio performances when i said that.
