Thanks to Caitlin Jaynes who sent me her video, and Clifton's remix of the official bootleg, I was able to put together this great clip of "Yesterdays" from the Cincinnati show, the first time they ever played the song in concert. Enjoy!
Becca from the official boards posted some pretty good pictures of the Ashville show. Here are a few that particularly tickled my fancy (no, it's not that I have a soft spot for Tim, I just picked 4 that I thought looked best):
switchFeed's Vicky Chiri got some amazing pictures from Ashville and Columbia (and a video of a previously-unheard story-song from Jon that left me uncharacteristically speechless and teary eyed), but there are too many good ones, so I'm thinking of making a switchFeed flickr account so you can see tons of pictures without me having to post each one. We'll be releasing that video too, soon.
Lastly, switchFeed's Arpit Mehta, who heads the "mp3 of the week" section, and interns for Filter Magazine, is now famous - he scored an article with them. Congrats, Arpit! We're proud. We hope you don't leave our tiny little site, on your path to world domination. ;)
i agree with boris. but i have to say this story-song sounds radzilla and i can't wait!!! awesome. and you know what's even better? that my school doesn't block this site like it does almost every other site that's fun.. so i'm definitely in the music office on my lunch right now :D sweet.
Oooh the Yesterdays video is rad! It was so sad, you could tell that Jon was feeling the lyrics... Weird that they chose to play it live for the first one day before I found out that a person I knew quite well and that I haven't seen for months has passed away :(...
@vicky, "somebody's baby", is that the new song? And way to go Arpit (woot woot!) thanks for the whole clear-up about your name! p.s. i love what it means! "set apart" wow. my name means princess. in my personal opinion, i've been incorrectly labeled ;)
I could really see that vid in switchfootage 3 or something. The audio is excellent, and the colors and "choppiness" of the vid combined are really special.
vicky, this video's audio is from the bootleg...that's why it's so perfect. But, that was a really good idea to do...all we really have to do now is shoot good video with no audio, then put the bootleg over it.
Good pics too...my head is in a lot of your other ones.
OH MY GOSH. I was so so disappointed (in my camera) when the battery died and Jon started singing Somebody's Baby and the Charleston after show I went to... Amazing song from an amazing mind.
VICKY you are my hero. I was hoping (and a video of a previously-unheard story-song from Jon that left me uncharacteristically speechless and teary eyed) meant 'Somebody's Baby.' I can NOT wait to see this video!! And I'm way more excited than two exclamation points!!
jon sang "somebody's baby" after the montreal show... I think my friend got a video of it but I'll have to check if she gave me a copy... but yeah, what a great song.
Three woots for arpit! I hope world domination works out for you! and if it does, atleast it'll be a world dominated by spectacular music :D okay, excuse my lame-ness. wow, I'm stoked to see Somebody's baby :D, and I think the Yesterdays vid is the best one I've seen so far...
that second picture of tim would have to be my favourite...it has a definite Star Wars influence...I mean come on...those red laser beams ( or strobe lights...whichever you prefer) shooting out of the top of his head...can you say Darth Vader?! :D
I love that second pic of Tim you posted as well. Action shots are the best! That Yesterday's video is really great. Loved to see that again. Love ya too, Vicky ;D. Can't wait for that vid.
@arpit...Lol..I'm sorry, I was procrastinating, but I just went to their myspace...and geepers! They're actually really awesome. I mean, who doesn't love pirates! I'm shipping up to... has a really nice beginning...but then again, I've always liked pirates, so maybe that's why. I think when I come into some money again...i.e. when I'm not completely broke, I'll go out and get an album thanks arpit. New awesome music is always welcome!
Love what you're doing here! Keep up the good work! The yesterdays video was amazing... :)
Looking forward to Vicky's video, they sound pretty rad.
A switchFeed flickr account would be great- you'd be one of contacts in no time!
