Behold, a video taken by Vicky at the Columbia show of Let That Be Enough. I think it's pretty neat, since I haven't seen Tim on the keys in a long time. Thanks, Vicky!
Also, resident Indie Music Master, Arpit, posted a link to his flickr account with some very view-worthy shots of the Ventura show. for example:
Nice, huh? Yeah, go check 'em out.
And of course, today is the birthday of our favorite shredder, Andrew Shirley. Happy Birthday, Drew! April's a good month ;)
Awesome video Vicky... I took one from the other side of the stage that I was going to ask Gellie or Phil if they wanted to post. It's weird that the sound is a few seconds behind the picture... is it showing up like that for anyone else?
I took a video of Ammo, Awakening and Burn Out Bright from that show too if anyone wants to see them.
Yeah, it's like that for everyone Linds. I don't know why YouTube does that. It's not like that on the original, obviously.
Arpit, those pictures (especially the one posted here) are absolutely incredible. I'm not gonna lie, I didn't look at the album when you invited me on Facebook, but that photo alone prompted me. How do you get your camera to pick up the light streaks like that?
yeah, sorry about the out-of-synch video/audio. if i could fix it, i would, but i'm not THAT tech-savvy... i decided to post it anyway though, cuz it's still enjoyable.
@vicky & gellie, you guys shoulda waited - i was gonna post that video myself (i know how to fix that video and audio being out of sync.) oh well. guess we could repost it.
Oh Tim playing the keys again..nice to see :) Thanks again Vicky.
Arpit your photos are fabulous. I especially like the silhouette one of Jon in the audience with the white light pouring down on him as he looks down (at a fan). Really great stuff.
@ Vicky - I have a D-SLR (Rebel XT) camera, and so I use it in the manual mode with no flash - and I have a superfast lens at a fairly low aperture that helps take in more of the light (I don't even know how all of it works :p)
@carolyn, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside that someone misses me, heheh - but i'll be back once i get home and get over the initial euphoria of seeing family after 2 years. in short, i should be back to posting next week. :)
@gellie, no worries. and none of us know...which song?
@everyone GO GET THE NEW ARCADE FIRE RECORD! yeah.
@arpit i was planning to devote an entire post to a concert review by you, alongwith your pictures, but it's a wee bit unfortunate that that can has already been opened. we could still do that review - for all it's worth, you got an aftershow pass courtesy switchfeed, and one of the reasons i got you one was so we could have a spiced-up review at least :) so you might wanna get crackin' on that, bru!
@ Phil - already working on it - go see the posts - in fact, I'm probably just going to send people here from my site once the review is up - I've done soooo many concert reviews over the last 2 weeks that I just don't want to do any more for a while ;)
And yeah, I was debating about the pics, but I thought people should get those to keep them going till the review's up (hopefully by tomorrow). Ooh, people are gonna get 2 posts from me this week... whether they like it or not :p
