all right, so, did i misunderstand something? first you said that the email thing was suspended, and then in the next paragraph, you threatened us with never being able to read the long-anticipated Revenge post if we didn't go sign up for the email updates right now! so i tried to submit my email address, and surprise surprise, it didn't work! :o) what are you doing to me, brother? i can't take this rejection. haha. just being melodramatic for fun.

all along, i've been thinking that it's pointless to get the email updates, since i check the site regularly, anyways, but now that i know you're judging our loyalty by whether or not we subscribe - it looks like i need to subscribe! plus i want to read the Revenge post. so there, tell me i pass the loyalty test. :)

 

haha thanks for pointing that out heather :) big oversight on my part. didn't realize deactivating email delivery meant deactivating people from subscribing too. hmm..what do i do. okay, you know what.. i'll de-suspend email delivery. i guess you guys will just have to put up with some html that messes up post titles, for a little while. and i'll edit the above post. thanks heather, and sorry bout that!

and no - i'm not judging loyalty by whether or not you subscribe - i just meant that subscribers TEND to be the most regular readers, but there are regular readers on either side of that fence, for sure. :)

hmm... I was subscribed for email updates for a long time, but I actually unsubscribed, because I check the site all the time anyways, and I have enough emails to sift through as it is. BUT I have been waiting for this "revenge" post forever (seriously)... you should make it a subscriber/other loyal readers exclusive. Or... something like that.

 

Where do you go to subscribe anyway? I come here often enough, but it would be nice to get e-mail updates probably.

okay, i don't know if i'm allowed to let this out, but i kind of feel hard-pressed to explain what's going on with the RSS otherwise, and i think you faithfuls deserve to know:

it's got some more rough edges that need to be worked on, but that's why the RSS is changing. we'll have a clean RSS separately for the feed, once this testing phase is over and we can separate the feed for switchfoot.com and the one that goes to your email.

@jill, the post will be where it's at right now - it'll only be updated with what you're waiting for. so you WILL be able to see it even if you don't subscribe. :) i promise you'll know when it's up - i'll email you or something. got some stuff to talk to you about anyway. ...thanks for waiting for that post, i will try my best to make sure it's worth the wait.

@emily, that's just the number of subscribers via feed readers - it went down to 18 because it subtracted all email subscribers when i deactivated it, i think the number should be updated by tomorrow morning.

 

haha phil, I notice that the date on the update has been changed. The last time I checked it said march...and I honestly sat there for a few moments thinking...crap, is it really march? oh no...and then I realized. :D
