welcome to our new blog, amigos!

tada! Our friend Phil has been hard at work for the past month creating our new official blog. Many of you may already know him from the blog he's been running for the past year or so on his own at switchfeed.com. Well, we thought he was so good at what he does that we asked him if he would bring his skills to our home page. And so it is with much excitement (drum roll implied) that I bring you (dramatic pause, followed by a crashing cymbal)... well, the blog that you are already reading. We're thrilled that our home page will now be bringing you fresh content on an almost daily basis. And if that wasn't enough (I know, I know, it's hard to imagine anything more), you can also subscribe to be notified via email (or any RSS reader of your choice) whenever a new blog is posted. AND, you can comment and respond on each and every post. I know... sweet. Oh yes, and as I've already demonstrated with this moderately classy post of my own, we will also be using this blog to post things ourselves. Afterall, blog is the new black. Great job, phil. Many more good things to come, my friends. Thanks for being a part of the music. We love technology... but not as much as you, you see!
always and forever,
-tim

Does anyone else find it odd that we are all replying to Phil, even though *technically* Tim made the post??...

I think I need to go watch ND, I feel like I'm missing out on some giant inside joke that the rest of society has...

Congrats Phil.. Great job.. Its some extraordinary perseverence paying off.. and hats off to SF on acknowledging innovation and creativity.. I see you going places, Phil..

the addition of Phil, an Indian, would bring about a new taste to the already multi-cultural composition of SF. Cheers Tim, press forth! :)

MOTW is a weekly feature on switchfeed.com put on by Arpit Mehta that showcases new and/or unheard artists. Well, it's supposed to be weekly but lately Arpit has been slackin'. (sorry just had to bug you, Arpit)

LOBH is another great sf fansite with lots of cool stuff.

This is why Switchfoot amazes me. It's one of the things that really struck me about the members of this fantastic band. They don't "take themselves too seriously." They don't believe they are mightier than their fans, they just jump in there and get involved. It almost makes them...more elite. *sigh* Thanks Phil! You're awesome. And so is Tim. And Jon. And Chad. And Jerome. And Drew. And stuff. And vague references.
