I read jamie's father's day blog, and it brought me to tears. I read other people's comments and was humbled and moved by how much I am not alone. I could no longer feel bad for myself...

WOW! That poem was really good! And that letter was really sweet and meaningful! It made me cry for the people that don't have dads. I as well have not had the experiece of not have a father. I know that there are a lot of people that don't have fathers for many reasons, and to read that someone is praying for them must mean a lot to them.

It's really sad that many people don't have fathers, but they still need to remember tha we have a heavenly father. He will never leave us or forsake us, He is a perfect God. I just hope that many will realize that.

When you wrote "Mark Foreman" is that Tim Foreman or is that Tim and Jon Foreman's dad? Because if that was Tim Foreman, i thought that his middle name was David.
Sorry but i really don't know.

while it is nice to know we have a "Father" in Jesus, i think it's very unfair and inconsiderate to kindly "remind" those without Dad's of that fact.

i'm just going to stop there so i don't get myself in trouble.

@Vicky - that thought crossed my mind. But I think that anyone without a dad would be reminded enough already by advertising centred around father's day anyway. That blog, which has some words of encouragement and sympathy etc., is probably going to do some good. I'm guessing, although I would not know, that anyone without a dad thinks about it all the time anyway, so it's probably nice to read something like that.

(My wording wasn't too great there but I think I got what I was trying to across...)

Chad's dad's name is Chuck Butler.

I have not met Mark, even though he was standing just a couple of feet away from me when I went to his church for a service. He's amazing because he actually makes you think and ask questions and look at things in a new way.

Vicky - what's wrong with reminding people that they have a Heavenly Father? I like to be reminded of that. He's all I've got.

@lydia: yay so im not the only one semi-obsessed with sf fun facts!
@switchfootprincess: hey yah thats what i think- it's not like the people without dad's are going to forget it until someone reminds them, and the knowledge that there is a Heavenly Father who loves us is an incredible blessing to everyone.
