"Then the crazy boy climbed up on the railing..."

Check out this unconventional concert review - a hilarious read. "Poor PCTim", you made my day. Totes! Thanks, Caroline.

Specially liked this part:
People there from little kids, to scene kids, to adults and even older people. Funny.
Testimony to Switchfoot's uniquely diverse fanbase.

One of our talented readers, Jess, made this drawing that will have many of you aww-ing:

Switchfoot will be playing at an Apple Store on 3rd Street Promenade at Santa Monica, for FREE, between 7 and 8pm, next Tuesday. You wouldn't wanna miss that, if you live nearby.

"Awakening" is still #1 on FUSE's "Guilty Pleasures" countdown! great job voting, folks. Click here to vote to keep us there! (hinthint: been looking for the right page to set as your homepage?)

If anyone has been wondering why your comment or friend request on the Switchfoot MySpace hasn't been approved since early May, we apologize: you will be seeing these things moderated sooner from now on. ;)

Anyone here like talking about the "bigger things"? Seeking the intersection of beauty and truth? Exploring art, words, justice or music? Feel free to join us in our discussions at the lowercase people boards, or even start up new threads. In all it's seriousness, it's a fun place.

"Planet X Action", a TV program I'm guessing, did a great little documentary on the recent bro-am, complete with a touching moment where Tim and a Care House kid were caught unawares on tape. Watch:

Yeah I WAS wondering why SF is so far behind in approving MySpace comments! Thanks for that mention.
I really enjoyed that video. I saw it the other day and when Tim gives that kid a skateboard, it definitely brings me to tears! I love how they edited that video too. Very nice.
I DO hope to see more people join the LP boards! It's slowed down a bit there. C'mon people! We don't bite ;D And it's fun!

    Phil, you make me laugh.

Yeah, I was wondering what was up with the SF myspace. But Hey, they are busy people. :)

I saw that video a few days ago, thanks to Vicky. I loved the part where Tim gives the boy a skateboard. Its so cute. I love how they really do care. <3

That fan review was pretty funny. They had some pretty interesting ways of putting things. But sounds like it was an awosome show! I would have loved to see SF on St. Patty's Day b/c thats my birthday. And What a birthday gift that would be! :)

Woot....Phil will now make sure our comments are approved....what a heavy wieght!!!

That moment with Tim and the kid is precious. Maybe it's because it makes him more human...maybe because I've done the same type of thing. But man oh man...it made me smile and think of some of the great kids I've had the honor of hanging with!!

*raises hand and jumps up and down* ooh ooh! I like talking about the bigger things, beauty, truth, etc...!!! Hmmmm...must consider the lp boards...
    that drawing is absolutely adorable...
i watched the planet x thing a day or 2 ago. i re-watched the segment w/ tim and the care house boy who knows how many times...that and the one where he redirects the interviewer's question to the gobs of people watching them, "how are you guys today?" both of those scenes are incredibly touching and telling of the true, humble, giving nature of the SF guys. God bless them!

@Vicky: My sis loves horses so I was watching that today. I believe they said that a filly hadn't won the Belmont since 1905. So yeah, we were excited when she won too!

That pic was way cute and I loved that video about the bro am! Thanks for the updates!

I loved that concert review! Especially when he refers the screaming to a Hilary Duff concert and when he says 'Heh, then he jumped down beside me into the crowd and the girls, and some guys went wild. I laughed. They were all like “touch meeee, I can touch youuu” hahahha! which is so true.

Jess drawing is amazing!!! and so cute! also, we have a board to support our "we want sf in latin america" cause, we want to unite people across Latin America and get them to sign our petition, that way we will have an argument to convince sponsors/venues to help us make SF come to our countries...
anyway the petition is here and anyone can sign:
    http://www.petitiononline.com/sfla31t2/petition.html

and the boards are here: http://z7.invisionfree.com/SeparadosSomosUno/index.php? they're in spanish, but if anyone wants to sign up and post in english it would be cool too :)

oh the video was awesome, the part of the kid/tim was so touching :') when the kid started crying I cried too, it was awesome...

So I was at the concert in Charleston . That's a unique perspective, but very accurate. Jon on the railing of the balcony floor was one of those moments when everyone in the room collectively held their breath...not from fear, but from amazement. Silly me, I was marvelling at his balancing skills that night and days later it dawned on me that HE"S A SURFER! Duh...of course he has great balance! In short, that show rocked.
Loved the video. Just reaffirms what we know to be true about this band.

That concert review was hilarious. I was at that concert.

And it really was like a 5 year wait before Switchfoot came out. They didn't come on stage until about 10:30, which I later found out was because they were trying to get the venue people to stop charging extra money to underage fans. And they got everyone who had already paid extra their money back, too. Great guys.

That was an awesome interview! Those drawn characters were really cute, and they really did look like Jon, Tim, Chad, Drew, and Jerome!
