Holaa! 'tis phil with your Switchfoot updates. Jon has posted two new blogs at his myspace. jonblogs are among my favorite things to read, so don't miss 'em. He's almost going at the rate of one blog per day...crazy boy.
One of our readers, Job, who runs a blog in support of "Awakening", started a campaign called "100 4 SF" in support of the single. He invites us switchFeeders to join in voting for the song on various channels. Visit his blog, and make the pledge. It's all for a good cause (world peace is part of it, promise. Just don't ask me how.) ;)

Now for the title item. A video that mixes WWE and Switchfoot. It made me laugh, especially during the bridge, when you're trying to see the connection between the lyrics and the video. Talk about chalk and cheese.
The benefit concert for the Life Rolls On Foundation, that Jon performed at, raised $370,000 for people affected with spinal cord injury, according to this report.
Some of you longtime fans may have read and enjoyed "The Beautiful Scrapbook", a tour journal Jon used to maintain that had a sad demise in late 2003. But, I don't know if you are aware, a resourceful fan managed to save the diary, and not just that, but host it on a site where we can read it... so, those of you for whom Jon's writing is like morning coffee, there's enough in here to keep you going for weeks.
Jon will be playing an acoustic set with Molly Jenson and Greg Laswell, TOMORROW, the 27th of July, at Lestats (3343 Adams Ave, San Diego, California 92116). If you live near there, I am very very jealous, to say the least.Labels: news |

Yeah, I've been staying up to date on the blogs that Jon has been posting. And i have been trying to vote for awakening on VH1 everyday. The new blouse is cute, pink my fav color!

Welcome back, Phil. I'm glad that you're alive and well. I had actually stumbled across 'The Beautiful Scrapbook' site early this year. There definitely is a lot of cool stuff on there.
I'm also jealous of those going to the show with Molly Jenson tomorrow. Someday I would love to hear the full song that Jon wrote with her a while back. The little clip from that myspace vid wasn't long enough. :)

Yay... I get to go see them Friday, and then again next Friday (Laswell won't be playing then). Heh, I saw Molly Jenson tonight, I see her Friday, then Saturday, and then again next Friday. She is amazing!

Random coolness - Rock Harbor, the church where Jon's playing soon, was showing a video a couple weekends ago for an event, and the song to go along with the images was We Are One Tonight. I was watching it, and chuckling to myself :D

I was just kidding about the guys playing with Molly. No offense was intended. I have played Molly's cd into the ground so I fully appreciate the fact she has FANTASTIC musicians playing with her. It was just a joke. Sorry if I offened you armpit mehta. I hope one day to get to hear Molly live myself. If you checked the switchfoot boards you will notice I specifically said it's great Jon was going to be there but I would go even if Jon wasn't going to be there BECAUSE those are very talented musicians performing tonight. Hope that clarifies my post to you.
