| So you think you know everything about Switchfoot, huh? |
Well then, let's test your Switchfoot Quotient. Choose from the 7 answers to the question below.
How many times is LA city referenced in Switchfoot songs? / How many Switchfoot songs mention LA? 1) More than two 2) Less than three (yes, <3) 3) Less than four 4) More than one 5) 2 of the above | 6) 3 of the above 7) Uhh, I don't know...
NOTES: - No using Google. Be sincere... don't kill the fun. - When you answer, don't list the songs, as that will make it easy for others to cheat. - The prize for answering correctly is: a mention (by commenting name) on the next post (alongwith the correct answer and song names). Wait...maybe I'm taking this too seriously. Oh well, whatever. - Again, no cheating. I'm trusting you here, so please honor that. =D - Submit your answer only once. If you answer again, it won't be counted. - Only answers submitted before the next post is published will be counted. |

i dont think im allowed to play. boo!
-
-
The answer, i believe is 6!
-
flashbacks to the SAT's...
I wonder if Switchfoot even knows the answer to this question.
ok, well, I'm thinkin #6.
-
-
-
I'm going to have to say #6.
-
although many are saying it i think its six
-
-
NO wait i take that back. it's number 5.
-
woops! ^ i didn't mean to list them! sorry! delete my comment!
-
@elise, i had to take your comment off because one of the rules on the post says not to mention any of the song names. :) you can vote your answer again, without mentioning the song names.
-
-
I say 5..no 6...no wait...5 it is...I think.
-
-
-
i'd say 6, like the number of albums they've released so far.
-
I think they have came out with 3 songs that have mentioned la. so...i think its 6)3 of the above
-
Oh Phil, this is why I love you. Because you are a nerd.
The answer is #6, and I'm not just saying that because Gellie said it, it's because I really thought about it. That in itself makes me lame.
-
-
I counted 3 songs too, so number 6...I think. :]
-
@rose oh shut up, you WISH you were too cool for a silly game like this. :P
hey, we can't always just have switchfoot news ya know, this mixes things up a bit...even if it's a little dorky.
and i made the options a little tricky too just for fun. cause we all know none of us really have a life and we like to spend time thinking about random things. soo. it's like, have you ever solved a puzzle? does that make you lame?
anyway, i love you all. thanks for participating.
-
oh and this also gets people to delurk. ;)
-
Wow! You made that complicated! I'm pretty sure it's #6.
-
-
im thinking it's 6 times! this is deffinately the weirdest poast ever! but @rose: yess thats why i love you too...your a nerd!<3 it was kinda confusing when i first read it but i think i get it now though[the contest thing]
-
@Phil, hun, you make me uncool.
-
Phil, let's say four songs mentioned LA.. that doesn't count as less than four, right? Because four is equal to four not less.
-
I say 6 aswell. Off my own merits, not because anyone else picked it! Oh, pick me! pick me! My hand is the highest!
;)
-
i say #6. hehe. & not cuz most other people are saying that. haha.
-
I think it is option #5
Less than 4 and more than 2!
Which means 3
Am I right? Am I right? ha ha.. Probably not...
-
I'm pretty sure it's #6 that was pretty entertaining actually
-
-
-
Wow why does everyone think it's 6? I bet most people are just following what everyone else said.
I'm still sure that it's 5. 2 of the above. more than one, more than two.
-
I'm gonna say six as well. I hope I didnt leave one out when I was remembering.
Phil, I like this post. It's fun!! More of these!!
~Lindsay
-
(6) 3 of the above
--Coralee
-
I believe it's 5...but idk.
-
6) 3 of the above
...and i'm not just saying that because everyone else is. :P
-
-
"Phil·emon Thomas said... oh and this also gets people to delurk. ;) "
Thanks, Phil. Thanks a lot...
and i'm keeping my answer.
-
i think it's #5 (2 of the above) but i'm not entirely sure. i was pretty psyched when he mentions driving home on the 405 in "Amateur Lovers", cuz i've driven home on the 405 freeway (ok ok, my parents drove and not me) hundreds of times, although i live in Orange County and not San Diego
-
6) 3 of the above
I think =)
-
-
"And the count shall be three. And three shall be the count. The count shall not be four, nor shall it be two." Our multiple choice answers made me think of this scene from Holy Grail...
and is #6 right?
-
I'm pretty sure that #6 is right... ok- maybe not! =)
-
I'm gonna hafta guess #6... I couldn't think of a 4th LA reference... had to wrack my brain to get the 3rd one. ;)
-
I'm gonna hafta guess #6... I couldn't think of a 4th LA reference... had to wrack my brain to get the 3rd one. ;)
-
I vote for #7. I should win.
-
Logic says #6, unless of course LA was never mentioned, which would make it #5, but if it is more than 4 times then #1 is the answer. Ima go with #6, and not simply because I'm goin' with the flow :D
-
-
@ susieq3c - haha! me too!
-
pshhh I'm still going with 5. Do you people not know your Switchfoot? I can think of four LA mentions.
-
Answer: 6-Three of the above
-
-
-
-
-
Well, I think it's two, which would be #6. Though if it were three, it would also be #6. But then again, #5 could include 3+, but there surely isn't ∞ songs out there. Nah, #5 can't be it, that would be silly. I'll say #6. O_O
-
-
Its numbero 6!!! Pretty sure...
-
#6 i counted three, though not living on the west coast doesn't help...
-
Quotient. I haven't heard that word in forever and especially on an early morning when my brain is about ready to go to bed.
I'm guessing on a whim and will say #2.
If I am wrong I am putting all the blame on you Phil! ;)
-
Oh wait...if you count Jon singing "Los Angeles", it's option 5.
-
I say #5! No going with the flow for me :P
-
#6
you have a really confusing way of giving the answers. it's very university exam mulitple choice-ish.
lol but i loved the "less than three, yes, <3) "
-
Oh my gosh. I hit the wrong number. I know you posted that if you post twice it won't be counted but really, believe me when I say it. I just got off work and have been up for 29 hours. Please. With a cherry on top.
My answer is # 3.
And if I am still wrong, you are still to blame Phil. <3
-
-
-
-
-
#6 is my guess.. but not sure
-
-
EDIT: Sorry I mean to say that "guess if you wanna be technical hmmmmmmmmmmm......... 2 and 3 don't count... " I mean to say 2 and 4 :( sorry!!!
But SWITCHFOOT STILL RULES!!! :)
-
So, are we supposed to have 2 answers: One for the reference of LA and another for the actual times LA is said? Or add those two answers together to form one answer?
-
-
i think it's number 4. hellooooo... obviously more than one!! :) lol
switchfoot rocks my socks off.
-
-
-
5)More than two but less than four. Two LA's and one Los Angeles
-
@mikeh, then wouldn't it be #6?
If the answer is three, "More than two", "Less than four", and "More than one" are all right.
-
Hey Phil! I know I already posted and answer and I'm still sticking to #5 but I just wanted you to know that I have the biggest headache ever and it's all your fault.
NAHHH... I'm kidding! But I do have a headache! lol...
-
-
Oh wait...I just noticed the "Don't answer twice!" thing. Oops.
Drew Leathman's post needs to be taken down.
-
Dear Phil,
The answer is #6, because there are 4 songs - 3 with "LA" and one with Los Angeles. One is on their first cd, one on their 3rd, and 2 on the last cd.
Hope i got it right - not too bad for an o l d codger like me who has just discovered them a mere 2 years ago??!!!! And i'm sure glad i did :-)
peace to you, joy
-
Oooooohhhh!! I know! I know! Wellll, not really. So...I'm going with #7.
-
-
The answer is #6:Home,Love is the movement,Awakening,Let your love be strong
-
The answer is #6:Home,Love is the movement,Awakening,Let your love be strong
-
-
#6 less than 4 more than 2
-Mia's CRAZY 4 Switchfoot!
-
-
-
-
Wow! This was hard ... but fun! Let's see, there are 4 songs, so that'd be ... #6. Peace, everybody!
-
I beleive L.A. is mentioned less than four times.
-
your not suppose to list the songs guys. wow, way to participate everyone! nicely done.
-
-
So I realized today that I can actually count 3 LA's and one Los Angeles which would then make the answer #5 instead of #6. So I'll just proceed on the false hope that when Phil said LA he meant LA and not Los Angeles. x]
-
-
i say the answer is choice #6
~*ABBEY*~
-
-
oh yeah...um...i agree with melissa...
are we referring to LA or Los Angeles or both?
-
LA/Los Angeles -- same thing. We're referring to both.
-
Tricksy little hobbitses! #6
-
-
I was going to say 6 but after the comments up there, I remembered another one and do I say 5. Not sure if mine will be counted or not... heh
-
-
i think it is number 5
-Mike
-
-
No lie, I was thinking about this the other day.
I say: Define "Switchfoot song" ...
: - )
-
-
-
The answer is 6! I think... It's just off the top of my head.. It's three songs, so that would mean # 6
-
No doubt about it, I'm going with #7. x)
-
-
without hesitation I answer 1) more than two
-
2? On LEt your love and Home. I went on memory. U guys are the best! Come to Atl soon. Can I get an Autograph? Caleb in Atl
-
Since there's another Jess, earlier, just refer to me 2 posts above as JLee91587
-
-
-
-
Wow... 123 comments... well 124 now that I'm posting. Awsome! Are you proud Phil?? :)
-
MOre than two, less than three...
but you know what would be a good one? Getting people to count all the times the phrase "in my head" is used in a switchfoot song... there are quite a few!
-
-
Wait a minute... If it's 4 songs, #2, #3, #7 can't be it. #1 and #4, could both technically be right, but since they're both included and you can only pick one answer (or can we? :o), they probably aren't right.
#6, there is no possible way to combine #1-4 to get an answer of four.
So...it has to be #5... Which would include "more than one" and "more than two." And that would leave an endless possibility, from 3 to infinity. And since we technically don't know all the songs Switchfoot has written, they could quite possibly have up to an infinity more "LA"-containing songs. ;)
But that's assuming it's four songs. I'll hope otherwise. =D
-
It is number 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
-
no way! i was out of town and i just checked back on this thread and a whopping 129 comments! whoa. thanks for the great response guys, i will clarify some things, and be fair to ya'll, but i might not be able to do it by the next post, as i'm still out of town (in a hill resort - a weekend getaway ;)) i think gellie will post a couple, and then you'll have the results to this. peace out :)
ps: a rambly blog which i think you guys will like...is also coming, on my return home.
-
the answer is 6) three of the above -rob krosley
-
they better have a podcast soon or im going to explode!!!! PLEASE MAKE ONE!!!!! it will probly be one of those SUPER PODCASTS again! lol
-
i should get credit for inspiring this. jerk.
kidding, of course. <3
I don't think I can vote. booo
-
I am suffering from podcast withdrawls. I'm expecting like- A movie length podcast.
-
Switchfoot has definately mention L.A. more than once. So the answer is #4.
-
You know, I never really paid any attention to that, but I'll try to figure it out, soon. Why did you have to make this so confusing? Thanks a lot Phil, JK. Well i do know that Switchfoot mentioned L.A. more then once, so I'll see where that takes me:)
-
#6....this is so fun!!!! Phil is a genius!
-
#6) 3 of the above...those three being #'s1,3, and 4.
-
#6 1,4,and 3 I just happen to love all the songs that have LA in them.
-
-
number 6: numbers 1, 3, and 4 ♥
-
It's 5. Switchfoot "mentions" the city in four different songs. >More than one. >More than two. So the answer is two of the above. :]
-
I think it's answer #5 (my two above are #2 and #4, so I guess it's 3 times)
-K8
-
to vicky: o ok thanks for the clearup of LA vs. Los Angeles...
and i change my answer...after this no more change lol...
my official final answer:
5
*my fave number too :D*
-
#5 for sure. I spent a lot of last night thinking of the songs and listening to them. :)
-
@phil: EEEEGADS! where r u and y have u not deleted the posts ppl have put up that blatantly broke the rules of our fun nerdy little quiz by listing the songs?!?! oh and my answer is number five and i have it right too. and i didn't even have to cheat. ;) died-to-live
-
this is confusing...cause sometimes they mention places in LA..not LA specifically..does that count? AND it's unfair for us canadians who doesn't know places in the states!
-
apparently "boardwalk" in a place in LA... does that count?..
i think your game failed phil. hehehee j/k
-
I actually had a dream about this post last night. I'm not even kidding. I'm not sure whether to laugh or to go look for a psychiatrist....
-
it's number 5!!
i'm almost positive :]
-
There are Four songs that mention LA that I can think of. One which he says Los Angelas, the other three L.A.
Four songs, therefore it would be number 6. 3 above being More Than Two, More Than One and 2 of the above, which in return would be the same one.
Songs are:
Love is the Movement Awakening Let Your Love Be Strong Home
I think that is all. I'm almost positive. unless la' la' la's count! :)
-Tyler Anderson
-
So I went through every song from all 6 albums in order in my head... Sad I know... and then then a few EP songs and I pick answer number 6 which is 3 songs mentioning LA!
-
gosh people. don't list the song names. it ruins the fun. It's up there in the rules too.
-
Ugh, I lied, went through all the songs again to be sure and I missed one... its four times they mention LA!
-
number 5!
Home Love Is The Movement Awakening Let Your Love Be Strong
- Cláudia
-
sorry i said 5 the correct is 6!
o0
-
-
-
Hi!
I think they had 3 songs with LA, so the correct answers should be:
#1, #3, #4 and #6 :-)
Bye, Andrea
-
i think its #6 also
~dream!er~
-
-
haha! the answer is #6. i sang all the songs in my head from bomb, of the legend of chin, to let your love be strong, of oh! gravity. i got confused about what to answer and then i recollected my thoughts and...well i think that the answer is 6..
sorry for the long-winded explanation..
Kels
