@anonymous- well tell me when switchfoot's up to more. Right now it's kinda slow stuff going on, the only huge news to give about them is that they're making a new record. Switchfoot's done a couple shows, but it's down time for them right now, compared to the rest of the year. Jon's been up to a lot of projects and stuff, and I personally am glad to be informed of what he's doing then the posts on this site getting less and less dense until it goes to nothing at all, because there isn't a whole lot of news about Switchfoot. It'll start up more when fall tour starts.

i'm sure all of them put their families before switchfoot. they will know whats right. each relationship struggles but family is family and you stick together no matter what. and hey, they must all be like best mates in the band, they will know when each others marriages are going through rough patches and they will support each other no end. i'm sure they all know a family is more important than a tour or another album. they'll be fine.

@anonymous: hey!! i don't think you have to openly talk about Christ in order to be a "good Christian". God has different paths for each one of us. Jon has never denied Christ. Just because he doesn't use the name "Jesus" in his lyrics doesn't make him less Christian. Talking about Christ in music, though isn't a bad thing, isn't the only thing that makes you Christian. I believe Jon is an example of a "good Christian" by not letting fame and fortune blind him from being real, down to earth, and friendly to everyone he meets. It's very hard to please everyone. If he talks about Christ in his songs, people may say he's preachy. If he doesn't, people may say he's ashamed of being Christian.You can't please everyone. I'm sure God knows his faith, I'm sure God knows that he's still very much Christian, and that's what important-to please God and not to please the world.


This is one of Jon's quotes about what we're talking about right now. I think it's a great quote and very true:

"I feel like people want us to be flying their flag. People will use our words to prove them right. We are not trying to fly the flag of Christendom, and we never have attempted to lift that flag. At the end of my life, I would love to have somebody say, "He was a humble Christian." I think that would be the biggest compliment.

I've seen very few people get up on stage in rock and roll who yell and stamp their feet for the name of Christ and do it in a way that I feel like is the gospel. @jim and vicki - i know EXACTLY how you feel. if i start watching videos though i just get addicted and waste hours doing nothing. i have exams in a few days and if i fail them i have to do the whole year again. which would cost like £9000. not good.

i agree with you jim. i don't have a girlfriend at the moment but i know no one of them would compare to timmy foreman :( such a sad world.

all i have to say to you is w/e..... i love Jon to death and he is most definitely one of the most talented songwriters, guitar players, and singers i have ever had the privilege to listen to and hopefully someday meet and have a good long conversation with. hahaha. but honestly, with all due respect for Jonathan Matthew Foreman, one of my heroes, Tim is more asthetically pleasing. :) and he's like the best bass player ever. next to the ever awesome Colton Poore, but you'll be the only one who understands that. lol.
