Well hello! Believe it or not, the YouTube Scoop is alive and well! (as are school, work and student organizations.) So, let's get right to it folks.
This video is a tribute to the victims of the 9/11 attacks. Seeing as how yesterday was the 6th anniversary of the event, I thought it would be a good idea to post this short slide.
The next two videos aren't exactly visually pleasing, but they are worth watching just to hear the music (both songs are my newest favorites). They were taken at Jon's Bondi Bar acoustic mini-gig in Oz. (ps - tabs to Learning How To Die can be found here. Thanks, Rose!)
These last videos are ones I actually took myself on Fall tour. (yes, I had forgotten about them until last weekend!) The outdoor stuff is from the Cincinnati, OH show, and the indoor stuff is from Columbia, SC. (I still feel a little guilty we made Jon play in Cinci. As you can see, it was so cold!)
Okay so, that was an extra long YouTube Scoop #9. Hope you enjoyed!
PS: Yes, Phil hasn't posted in nearly a week, but he's alive and well- trying to balance his first week back at school with the building of an official Switchfoot fansite with new boards, an all-new switchFeed, bootlegs and image gallery (where fans can upload directly to the server into organized folders and others can comment/rate), and much more, all tightly integrated. He gave me a preview and it's very exciting! Anyhow, he should be back to blogdom soon.
Thanks for the post Vicky! I thought all the videos were great. The 9/11 one was one of my favorites, that day was such a harrible day. The Switchfoot videos were GREAT!!
Much love for the 9/11 slide show. When it happened, I can remember exactly what I was doing and for 2 weeks I couldn't listen to any music but "Dare You To Move". I had not expected to be so affected by what happened, and I found that the only way to get myself to go back to living was to create my own slide show to that song. I've kind of kept it to myself, but ever year on the anniversary of 9/11 I am tempted to share it with others.
That song and the slide show really were the only things that I was able to do as a 16-year old in 2001 struggling with my emotions over that event.
It's just one more thing that Switchfoot has done in my life. They are truely blessed in ways that I'm sure they are still unaware of.
i love those vids from the cinci concert, i was standing right by you vicki! i didn't get the last part of 24 so that was nice to see and i think i see myself taking pictures in that one...
Awesomeness Vicky! Truely awesomeness. Those videos out side of the cinci concert are wonderful. I wish I would have stuck around after the concert to see that. I think the next time I go to a Switchfoot concert I'm going to make certain I have nothing to do the next day, so I can sleep then, and therefore enjoy the concert, and the after concert.
that was an awsome update! im glad that you guys mentioned 9/11.....i acually totally forgot about it till the other night..sad! i can't waite for the Appatite for Construction tour! i emailed Jon Schneck and he said it was going to be fun for them to play w/ switchfoot again (when did they play w/ them before?) hmmmm.... ~lydz
