this album was not my introduction to switchfoot, but showed me another side of the guys hearing where they began, and the lyrical brilliance they began with blows me away. And they've still got it, just goes to show that with these guys are capable of anything

Jon's songwriting was as amazing back then as it is today. I love the intimacy of the (as he said) dorm-room songs. My favorite lyric is the humble prayer from "Home":

"All that's in my head is in Your hands..."

And I do also have to confess that I LOVE "Might Have Ben Hur". Jon shouldn't be allowed to wear his heart on his sleeve like that! It's enough to make us all melt! Ha ha. : )
